INTRODUCTION TO KSIJ – CENTRAL BOARD OF EDUCATION
The Central Board of Education under the guidance of the Khoja Shia Ithnaasheri Jamat manages the Al Muntazir Schools.
The Central Board of Education – CBE is governed as a Sub Committee, formed under clauses 16 and 23 of the Khoja Shia Ithnaasheri Jamaat (KSIJ) of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
The Khoja Shia Ithnaasheri Jamaat (KSIJ) is a nonprofit organization providing holistic and affordable Education services through the Al Muntazir schools, to 5,500 students of various ages and cultural backgrounds from Toddlers age to Secondary A Levels.
In 2013, the KSIJ CBE established a Special Needs Unit, whereby different abled children are trained under capable staff.
The KSIJ CBE employs more than 570 professional and non-professional staff to ensure the Schools delivers cost effective education and are preferred education providers in the country.
With a history dating back to 50 years, the Al Muntazir Schools have rich traditions and strong professional accomplishments. Our oldest member, the Union Nursery School celebrated its 60th Anniversary in 2017.
In the same year, the Al Muntazir Islamic Seminary accomplished 35 years of its journey towards providing quality education in the field of Secondary Education at Form 1 to Form 4, offering Cambridge IGCSE/GCE Curriculum. The A Level Curriculum is offering CAMBRIDGE Curriculum.
The vision of KSIJ CBE is to provide exemplary education to diverse community at Al Muntazir Schools where students are prepared to excel in a diverse interconnected global environment and contribute to make this world a better place.
The KSIJ – CBE pledges to recognize and embrace each student’s uniqueness and construct a solid bridge that facilitates the transition from child to young adult by providing a challenging curriculum that encompasses the intellectual social and physical needs of our children. The CBE will promote a positive environment that nurtures excellence in teaching and learning resulting in high academic achievement for all students.

Al Muntazir Special Education Needs:
We operate a Special Needs Unit for children with special abilities.
Al Muntazir Union Nursery School and Al Muntazir Toddlers and Day Care Centre:
We provide an active child centered approach. The Campus is geared to improving the Early Childhood Educational system (ECE) and stabilizing the Montessori system. The focus is to provide both systems with quality and continuity to ensure smooth transition to Primary School.
Al Muntazir Girls Primary School and Al Muntazir Boys Primary School:
At Primary level, we are focused towards a student centered approach to aid the gradual change into the Cambridge Primary Programme. The year 2017, saw the Implementation of the CIE Curriculum into the Primary system Grade 1 gradually moving to full Cambridge Curriculum.
Al Muntazir Islamic Seminary:
At Seminary, there has been successful implementation of the Cambridge Checkpoint Curriculum at Form 2 and IGCSE Curriculum at Form 3 and Form 4.The focus is to complete teacher training for implementation of education to O levels and will focus on monitoring of the O levels and training for provision of A levels. All this is in accordance to the demand for student centered teaching.
