EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES AT AMGPS
While the school’s academic systems are well established, the school also offers Extra-curricular activities designed to supplement school curriculum and provide additional opportunities for our students to develop skills, character, and leadership. There are many activities available for students to participate in throughout the school year.
Extra-curricular activities are extremely important in helping students develop lifelong good working habits. Students involved in extra-curricular activities learn how to work as part of a team towards a common goal, such as winning the football game. Studies have shown that students involved in extra-curricular activities are more likely to study more diligently, earn better grades, and stay out of troublesome situations in high school.
At AMGPS our aim is for every student to participate in at least one activity beyond the classroom environment. Our sporting activities are held from Monday to Thursday from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m.

The Primary and Secondary schools runs a House system; the four houses are named after colours, Blue, Green, Red and Yellow. On entry to School, each student is assigned a house (the same as an older sibling if requested) and remains a member of this house throughout their years at Al Muntazir.
Each year, the primary schools’ House Captains are selected from among the grades 6 or 7 pupils.
